Why is it important to study history?
That question can be answered in many different ways. I personally think history is important because it explains everything . From how we came to be were we are today, to how we became the people we are meant to be. For change. And to learn form what our past mistakes brought us, to how we can improve.
Its said that each person leaves a mark in the world just by being born. If all the great people who lived and died for a cause to change the world never left a mark, where would we be now? Great people like Susan B. Anthony- helped woman gain the right to vote, Elizabeth Blackwell- First female doctor, Martin Luther King Jr- Helped to rid the world of racism.
Its people like these that helped change the world for the good.
- It is important for us to know and honor the people who came before us and left such positive marks.
